SM Lanang Premier hails the ‘King of Fruits’ with a festival to support the city’s much-anticipated Kadayawan celebration from August 5 to September 4, 2016. This month-long festival is a grand showcase of the bountiful harvest by the local farmers and growers of durian in support of the city’s annual Kadayawan celebration.

Since its launching on August 10, 2013, the Kadayawan Durian Festival has aimed to spread the word on Davao City as one of the country’s top-of- mind food tourism destinations. It has been well received and has become one of the must-visit events mallgoers look forward to every Kadayawan season.

Now in its fourth year, this event will continue to raise consumer awareness and patronage of Davao’s durian not only in the local scene but in the national and international scenes as well.

The many varieties of durian being grown in the region are also highlighted in the festival.

The 2016 Kadayawan Durian Festival is made possible by SM Lanang Premier’s partnership with the Durian Industry Council of Davao City, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Tourism, Air Asia (official airline partner), Solar Entertainment Corporation-ETC Channel (official media partner), Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Science and Technology, the City Government of Davao, the City Agriculturist Office, City Tourism Operations Office, Kadayawan Festival 2016 Committee, and Davies.



Mallgoers are invited to visit the festival and grab a taste of durian starting August 5, from 10am to 9pm, at SM Lanang Premier’s Fountain Court grounds. They can enjoy eat-all- you-can Durian promos from Mondays to Fridays, from 10am to 4pm.


Durian by-products such as jam, candies, tarts and Davao’s other well-loved fruits such as mangosteen, marang, pomelo are also being sold at the event.

They are located beside Caitlyn's so it’s not hard to find them. They serve flavored lemonades in a unique sling pack. You can choose from 4 flavors - Green Apple, Kiwi, Passion Fruit, and Lychee. You must try the Passion Fruit flavor!



I must say, this made me happy the whole night! You got to love chocolates and you got to love KAI’S. Why? It’s home-made and it’s made from scratch! My eyes were gleaming when I had a chance to taste all of their chocolates in one seating. The best one for me was the Matcha Chocolate.
