A new restaurant in Davao City had a grand launch last November 16 at Azuela Cove at R. Castillo St., Lanang. The UNION MARKET highlights the best Western and Eastern dishes in one roof allowing the diners to experience something new.
The restaurant has three components; a Pasteleria featuring La Rose Noire products; a Taperia featuring cured meats and cheeses from different purveyors worldwide, and a Filipino-Spanish fusion Brasseria.
From the owners who brought us two homegrown restaurants - Antonio's and Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony and Jen Ang wants every Dabawenyo to try something new and end up appreciating the taste without expectations. They are hoping that the Davao clientele will embrace the adventure of stepping into a new world of flavors and enjoy a tasteful experience without having to spend much for a meal.
Below are the dishes they served during the food tasting.

The desert selection comes from La Rose Noire by Gerard Dubois. Macarons and Petitclairs, a collection of different kinds of breads make up the Boulangerie station.
It is the first to offer Stone Grill Steak in the city with paella, tapas, lechon, among others. Pastries and different kinds of bread are in full display too. So far everything we tasted was good and delectable. My favorites were Paella Negra, Salmon, Baked Mussels, and Pizza on a stone. The place is cozy and has a relaxed ambience.
