I had an Asian gustatory journey at this new resto in town called the
Flavors of Asia. I am lucky enough to join the exclusive dining experience with my friends from the Davao Bloggers Society last July 15. Chef Tatung Sarthou, a celebrity chef, author, and a culinary heritage advocate, showcased their dishes and that did not disappoint me. I've never been to Asia, but I think I already traveled to Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand without even leaving the country or shall I say, my seat.
Here are the dishes they prepared on our first visit.
Chicken Satay P210 |
Shrimp Cakes P170 |
Molo Soup P190 |
Pad Thai P220 |
Nasi Goreng P190 |
Bagoong Fried Rice P190 |
Kimchi Fried Rice P190 |
Pandan Wrapped Fried Chicken P240 |
Red Chicken Curry P290 |
Stir Fried Clams with Bean Sprouts P260 |
Sticky Pork Riblets with Lychee P290 |
Korean Beef Stew P420 |
Mango Sticky Rice |
Buko Pandan Panacota |
Each food they served was delicious. My top three favorites were Nasi Goreng, Bagoong Fried Rice, and Kimchi Fried Rice. I would also recommend the Pad Thai and Korean Beef Stew. Thinking about it makes me hungry. I have friends who already traveled to different countries in Asia and I would love to bring them here so they can eat Asian dishes again without even leaving the country.
