Marco Polo Davao will celebrate it's 18th anniversary on December 17, 2016 and I was glad to be invited to their grand launch of activities last January 18. The hotel's General Manager, Dottie Wurgler-Cronin headed the ceremony by the sound of the Mindanaoan gong at the hotel lobby. Ms. Dottie gave a sneak peak on the upcoming activities this year and the promotions which they will launch as a prelude to its big day on December 17.
"These activities, among many others, will highlight the hotel's coming-of-age. It has also been a meaningful 18 years for Marco Polo Davao, and we believe that the hotel has blossomed into a top-of-mind and most premier hotel in Mindanao because of your continued support. Rest assured that this will be a very festive year for everyone.", says the highly enthusiastic GM Ms. Dottie.
A sumptuous lunch was prepared for us and the friends from the media at Polo Bistro after the intimate opening ceremony. All dishes are Valentine's Day Specials and were prepared by Executive Sous Chef Alex Destriza and F&B Manager Chel Galang-Yabut.
