When the former Hilton Resort and Spa re-branded as Movenpick Resort, they also changed the name of their buffet restaurant from Vanilla Beach Cafe to The Sails Restaurant. They are offering breakfast and lunch buffets to all guests. It is located on the left side of the lobby and it is near the sports or gaming area and the pool.
The staff is accommodating and will assist you to your chosen table. They serve different kinds of food depending on their theme of the day. That day, they were serving Mediterranean dishes. Sorry minsan di ako masyadong familiar sa mga ganyan. Kain lang ako ng kain talaga. LOL!
Anyway, here are some of the food on their buffet tables and also on my plate. Be prepared, you might get hungry. :)
The salad bar! Yummy! :)
Pizza-pizza-pizza! Pizza-pizza-pizza! (Sing with me! :P)
One of my favorites from the pasta counter. Though I forgot the name of it. Sorry :(
The grilling section. You can ask the chef to grill the food for you. They will serve it on your table after. Less hassle.
The main course table served mashed potatoes, rice, garlic broccoli, and sweet ribs. So since it’s an elegant restaurant, it’s mandatory (well, for me) to do some food plating. I need to post it on Instagram too, you know. Hahaha!
Who want desserts?! They have plenty!
Banana Fritters with powdered sugar! Heavenly!
And the award for the best dessert goes to this Black Forest Cake!
Ally took a photo of me and Miss Glochi while taking selfies. It looks that we were satisfied with what we just ate.
Even if the area is small, the food they serve is sumptuous. It’s not that many but you can have a taste of everything. The buffet costs P1,200 with 1 free drink. You can choose from a regular soft drink or fruit juice. It was all worth it! You must visit their restaurant soon! :)
